Abstract

Torfaen County Borough Council recognise the need for a digital solution to reroute all rounds for a new waste collection service profile. This will improve service delivery and make the rounds more efficient. The Council are looking for service providers that can deliver the following: - A system that can interface with Microsoft, Telematics & My Council Services. - Software system which can be used in-house to reroute all waste collection routes New routes will include the following rounds: • Refuse Collection • Recycling Collection • Green waste collection - The technology must be compatible with any new systems. The system must be able to adapt to changes in the delivery format of services, and new forms/interactions must be able to be developed. The Council are looking for the following information: • Indicative costs • Specification and capabilities of the vehicles • Examples of these vehicles in operation for waste collection services

Additional Information

Torfaen County Borough Council provide a fortnightly residual waste collection, and a weekly source segregated food and dry recycling collection, along with a seasonal green waste collection. The Council are looking to roll out a new collection service to provide a one pass system. This is an opportunity to look at introducing new technology to further improve service delivery.

The Council would like to invite interested parties to attend a meeting to present the options available.
