Abstract

Derry City and Strabane District Council invite suppliers to tender for a PeacePlus Connect Project (BAME) Reissue. This project is an essential lifeline project for the most isolated women within the local BAME (Black and Minority Ethnic) Community. During the Co-Design process, an acute need was heard for female only projects for women relatively recently arrived into area. Many have extremely limited English and/or are asylum seekers or refugees. This project would assist these women to feel connected and less isolated and connect them with local female volunteers to ensure the project had a cross-community volunteering dimension. Please refer to the CfT documents for further detail.
