II.1.4) Short description
Derry City and Strabane District Council invite suppliers to tender for PeacePlus Victims/Survivors Social Programme. This is a social based support and engagement project for those most impacted by the Troubles and their legacy in the Strabane town and surrounding rural area. The project will support participants to address social isolation through facilitating connections with others. It will also support participants to increase knowledge, skills and understanding on emotional health issues and promoting more positive mental Health. Activities will include emotional health and wellbeing workshops, talks and trips on historical reconciliation themes. The co-design process indicated a strong consensus around the need for initiatives supporting those in the wider Strabane area impacted by past violence in the area. The area is also immediately adjacent to the border and will welcome participants from across the border where relevant. Arising from the Co-design process in Strabane District Electoral Area (DEA), this project should strive to bring key benefit to that area. Please refer to the CfT documents for further detail.
