Abstract

Swansea Co-Production Network is an informal network of people interested in working co-productively with Swansea Council to ensure services are focused on supporting people to live good lives. Swansea Council Social Services Department wants to commission independent support for the Swansea Co-Production Network to enable them to do this. We are looking for an organisation to select and support core members for a Co-Production Implementation Group for Social Care, to Co-design approaches & monitoring outcomes and quality, prioritise areas of work. To grow the network of people to co-produce with, particularly with groups who may be currently underrepresented on the network e.g. unpaid carers, mental ill health, sensory loss. To connect with other groups supporting people with care and support needs who operate across and beyond Swansea to link with the people they support. To provide practical support which could include arranging meetings and venues, taking minutes, sending out emails and communications, helping to fill in grant applications if this is relevant in the future, etc. Providing emotional support ensuring individual co-producers are not overloaded with commitments, making sure that individual co-producers have an opportunity to off load and access support, if required. There are several outcomes which will be required as part of this contract Swansea Co-production Network members will need supported both practically and emotionally to co-produce with Swansea Council. Implementation of the Co-Production Strategy with the Swansea Co-Production Network. Increased number of active network members, amongst others.

3 Conditions for Participation

3.1

Minimum standards and qualification required

There will be a strong focus on delivering the key principles of the Social Services and Wellbeing (Wales) Act 2014; Wellbeing Outcomes, Co-Production, Prevention and Early Intervention and Collaboration.

The staff involved will need to be friendly. Be knowledgeable and passionate about Co-production. They will need to be willing to learn, research and come back to the Swansea Co-production Network with ideas. Be considerate to people’s need and be able to engage with people at different levels, have a sense of urgency. Maintain regular contact with members. Have a willingness for change and willingness to learn from the network. Have an ability to understand Easy Read.

— Click on the ITT code. You can now access any attachments by clicking the “Settings and Buyer Attachments” in the “Actions” box.

3. Responding to the invitation to tender:

— You can now choose to “Reply” or “Reject” (please give a reason if rejecting).

— You can now use the “Messages” function to communicate with the buyer and seek any clarification.

— Note the deadline for completion, then follow the onscreen instructions to complete the ITT.
