II.2.4) Description of the procurement
Improvement Cymru is the national quality improvement service for NHS Wales delivered by Public Health Wales. Our goal is to work with NHS Wales and its partner organisations to achieve sustainable, measurable improvements so that the services offered to patients are safer, more effective and timely.
Improvement Cymru is a centre of expertise and coordination for healthcare staff across the country who are engaged in identifying, testing and measuring the impact of service improvements. Efficient collection, collation, visualisation and sharing of data is crucial to the success of these improvement efforts.
There is currently no simple, standardised, and efficient way for Improvement teams in Wales to record, analyse and share the data they collect to test clinical improvement ideas. They need a single solution that all staff involved in improvement work can use wherever they are based, that allows them to manage data for their own local projects and to participate in larger, multi-site projects. At present, project teams record and analyse data in a variety of ways, which makes it difficult for the national Improvement Cymru team to coach and support them, and to clearly see any successful improvements that could be shared across Wales.
Improvement Cymru have begun a programme of discovery and have developed a requirements specification through stakeholder and user engagement. We are keen to hear about technical solutions that might meet our requirements and are particularly keen to encourage innovation that takes advantage of Microsoft technology.
We plan to hold a vendor engagement session during week commencing 8 November 2021
