This event offers a valuable opportunity for small businesses to explore the practical steps for securing local procurement contracts with Carmarthenshire County Council (CCC) and the Mid & West Wales Fire and Rescue Service. The sessions will provide insights into ‘smaller’ procurement opportunities that can directly benefit small and local enterprises looking to expand through public contracts, i.e. <£25,000 and not necessarily listed on Sell2Wales.
Smaller procurement opportunities in the public sector are multifarious. Examples include: training, carpentry, printing, graphic design, office supplies, catering, cleaning, equipment supply, landscaping, repair, events, and community engagement (not exhaustive!).
With a panel featuring procurement experts from both CCC and the Fire Service, attendees will gain an understanding of what buyers are looking for and how to effectively position their business when opportunities arise.
