Description of the goods or services required

The Vale of Glamorgan Council (“the Council”) requires the production of a series of written case studies and short films to showcase the Councils UK Shared Prosperity Funded projects. These services are split into two lots and suppliers must bid for both lots.

Lot One – Written Case Studies

Lot Two – Short Films

Both lots should commence on 1st October 2024 and should take no more than three months to complete.

Suppliers are advised to allow adequate time for uploading documents and to dispatch the electronic response well in advance of the closing time to avoid any last minute problems.

Total quantity or scope of tender

There will be a minimum of twelve ‘lead’ written case studies (four per theme), we anticipate these will be approx. 2x A4 each. With a further twelve ‘supporting’ case studies (four per theme), approx. 1 paragraph each. The lead case studies should be produced as separate PDF files, but also collated into one online brochure. The brochure will need to produced as an interactive PDF which will also imbed the films.

There will be a minimum of 12 short films, (four per theme), these will be approx. 2-3 minutes each. We will consider additional films if the budget and capacity allow.

Additional Information

The UK Shared Prosperity Fund has been running since 2022 and the Council have supported 144 projects to date through this fund. Currently all projects must be finished by March 31st 2025. The UK Shared Prosperity Fund is split across four themes;

Multiply (Adult Numeracy)

The Council would like to create a series of written case studies and short films that showcases a selection of projects from each theme, to demonstrate the impact that projects have had on peoples’ lives, their communities and their businesses.

The Vale of Glamorgan Council has declared a Climate and Nature emergency and is committed to working with suppliers that contribute to our journey towards Net Zero Carbon.

Tenders may be submitted in Welsh and will be treated no less favourably than a tender submitted in English.
