Abstract

Museum Wales wishes to gauge market interest in the restoration of two Victorian glasshouses: The Flower House is a ¾ lean-to glasshouse, which is intended to be replaced with a replica aluminium glasshouse; The Vinery is a free-standing glasshouse and is Grade 2 listed, where the intention is to replace and/or restore in timber. It is currently the intention to let the glasshouses as separate works packages; one in timber and one in aluminium. This would include the supply and installation of the glasshouse and any internal fitting out, such as benching, shelving and required mechanical, electrical and ventilation requirements. Building works are planned to be undertaken by Museum Wales. Appointment and works onsite would look to be appointed by March 2025, subject to change. Potential suppliers should register their interest by contacting Richard.Boxall@museumwales.ac.uk. Please note that at this stage this is just a request for information. Interested parties will be asked to submit a formal tender once the Contract Notice goes live. CPV: 50700000.
