Bedwas High - External LED Lighting

Description of the goods or services required

You are invited to submit a tender for the installation of LED lighting and associated works at Bedwas High School, Newport Road, Bedwas, CF83 8BJ.

The scope of the project is fully described in the tender documentation but in summary the scope is:

- The Electrical Services Installer shall allow for the safe isolation, removal and disposal of existing lighting as per the associated drawings. This forms part of Caerphilly CBC LAEF/Invest to Save Scheme.

- The Electrical Services Installer shall allow for the supply and installation of new LED Light fittings and lighting as per the associated drawings.

- The Electrical Services Installer shall allow for the installation of new emergency light fittings. This must include all required wiring alterations, cabling, GMS containment, key switches and sundry items.

- The Electrical Services Installer shall allow for the installation of new lighting controls including all wiring alterations, cabling, GMS Containment and sundry items. They should also include for the inspecting and testing all existing lighting controls , any faults found shall be reported to the Contract Administrator.

- The Inspection and Testing of all lighting circuits with results being provided to the Contract Administrator on Minor Electrical Installation Works Certificate.

- The provision of record drawings and O&M manuals.

- Programme to be agreed with Contract Administrator and School

Minimum standards and qualification required

All installing electricians must be CAT B trained for asbestos related work.

All installing electricians must be DBS checked

The Council requires the contractor to have experience of working with the Salix Invest to Save scheme.

As part of the warranty and maintenance period we require an urgent response to call outs because of the critical nature of the sites the work is being undertaken in. This is to be 30 minutes.

We require the contractor to have experience of working on non domestic, local authority buildings such as schools and leisure centres.

9.Terms and Conditions — Read the terms and conditions of the use of this Supplier Portal and tick the box to denote you have read and understood the terms and that you agree to abide by them. If you do not agree you cannot complete the registration process. Once you have agreed click on the blue arrow to move on to the next stage;

10. Insert a password for the admin user and repeat it. The password Must be between 6 and 50 characters in length. It must contain at least 2 number(s). Once completed select ‘Complete Registration’ and you will enter the Supplier Home page;

11. From the Home Page, go to the ‘Opportunities’ icon, all current opportunities will be listed.

Click on the blue arrow under the field ‘Show Me’ of the relevant opportunity then click to register your interest on the applicable button;

12. Refresh your screen by clicking on the opportunities icon located on the left hand side, to view the opportunity click the blue arrow;

13. Note the closing date for completion of the relevant project. To find all available documentation drop-down the ‘Request Documents’ option and click to download all documents;

14. You can now either complete your response or ‘Decline’ this opportunity.
