Updating Forecasted Data in Social Care in Wales

Description of the goods or services required
Social Care Wales is seeking to commission a suitably experienced and qualified supplier to support the development and enhancement of data models grounded in robust research and evidence. These models should depict potential future scenarios for the demand and delivery of social care in Wales.
The successful supplier will collaborate with Social Care Wales to implement the models as functional tools on the National Social Care Data portal in Wales.
The objective of the contract is to enhance the ability of Social Care Wales and its stakeholders to rely on up-to-date, evidence-based data models for effective planning and delivery of social care in Wales.

Total quantity or scope of tender
The contract will run from 27 January - 31 March 2025.
There is a budget of up to £25,000 (inclusive of any applicable VAT) agreed for this quote.

3 Conditions for Participation
|
3.1
|
Minimum standards and qualification required
The supplier must demonstrate substantial expertise in the following areas:
- Expert knowledge of social care in Wales with an understanding of the political landscape, priorities and areas of high demand.
- Expert knowledge of social care research.
- Proven experience of leveraging data and current, robust research to develop models and forecasts related to health or social care.
- Experience or knowledge of technical aspects of forecasting techniques, including estimating prevalence and employing predictive analytics.
- Skill and experience of extracting relevant insights and best practice from re-search publications, particularly academic research.
- Strong organisational and project management skills, with the ability to meet deadline consistently.
- Capability to present and communicate technical information clearly and accessibly, using Plain English.
- Expertise in operational research and/or computational data modelling is desirable.

A supplier engagement session will be held 14:00 – 15:00 on Thursday 19 December 2024. This will be a chance for interested parties to meet with the project lead/team, hear firsthand what they hope to achieve from this contract, and take the opportunity to ask questions / discuss the requirements.
