Description of the goods or services required
The Gwrych Castle Preservation Trust (GCPT - The Client) are seeking to appoint a contractor to deliver a programme of repair, re-roofing and new floors to the historically significant (Grade I listed) Gwrych Castle near Abergele.
The Questionnaire & Quality Submission document forms an initial pre-qualification exercise.

Total quantity or scope of tender
- Extensive fabric repairs, involving specialist masonry conservation, repair, cleaning and use of traditional conservation materials.
- New roofs (comprising traditional slate, lead and zinc).
- Clearance of vegetation.
- Below ground drainage installations.
- New floors, these are envisaged as a mix of limecrete (to lower ground) and holorib steel/concrete composite floors, with some areas of timber flooring.
- Repairs (some temporary) to windows, doors and the like to create a dry ‘shell’.
- There is the potential that the project may be extended to include the West wing (entrance and service range) and East Wing (Dining, Breakfast Room, Bedrooms) if funds permit.

3 Conditions for Participation

Minimum standards and qualification required
Tenderers will need to be able to demonstrate competence and experience across the quality and Pre-Qualification questions as described below.
Contractors must, fundamentally, be able to demonstrate the requisite skills for working on highly sensitive historic sites, including high-significant listed buildings.

Additional Information
Your request to participate should arrive no later than 17th January 2025 at 5pm. The Client reserves the right to reject any response which is received after this deadline. On receipt of the responses, the Client will perform an evaluation of Responses in accordance with the scoring matrix detailed below. Contractors must submit their PQQ in electronic format.
Queries in relation to the PQQ may be submitted no later than 10th January at 5pm.
