Thinning and felling small trees and bushes - Penmaenpool, Gwynedd

Description of the goods or services required

Thinning and felling small trees and bushes in a 22-hectare mixed broadleaved SSSI woodland known as Abergwynant y Gribin, in the Mawddach estuary area west of Dolgellau (Grid ref SH67801694).

The work will take place as part of the Celtic Rainforest LIFE project, which is a seven-year LIFE-funded project, focussed on improving the condition of woodland in five SACs across Wales. Project work includes eradication of Rhododendron ponticum and other invasive plant species, implementing woodland grazing projects and undertaking woodland management. The project is led by Eryri National Park Authority, with RSPB Cymru and Woodland Trust as delivery partners.
