Abstract

Hywel Dda University Health Board (HDUHB) Estates, Facilities and Capital Management Directorate seeks to establish a single contract for the provision of professional services to assist with the delivery of remodelling works to the existing Leri Ward at Bronglais General Hospital (BGH). The specialism required under this contract are clerk of works services to complete inspections of works, quality, safety and progress for review and reporting back to the Health Board from the project outset through to completion. The requirement will support the delivery of a full remodelling of the existing Leri Ward which is currently deemed as unfit for purpose to form a new Cancer Day Unit (CDU). The works will include the demolition of existing walls and the formation of a new entrance and canopy to create a modern environment to allow the best patient care to be provided. The WPA Consultancy Services Framework (CS1) is compliant with UK/EU procurement legislation. This framework includes several potential providers who have achieved inclusion on the framework following a qualification process, however the awarded supplier has worked with the Health Board recently and has an appreciation of the situation within HDUHB along with having resource to start work immediately.
