Abstract
Health Education and Improvement Wales (HEIW) is a special health authority within NHS Wales who have a leading role in the education, training, development, and shaping of the healthcare workforce in Wales, whilst supporting high-quality care of the people of Wales.
HEIW pharmacy team would like to continue to support the entire pharmacy team to development research skills, as this is an area that has been highlighted as an urgent area for development, in a recent research project.

The Pharmacy Research Wales group has developed a plan to increase research skills across the pharmacy team and selected this pharmacy specific module, as the first step in the research journey for registered pharmacy professionals.
HEIW Pharmacy have previously funded this Cardiff University Pharmacy School stand-alone module on Research Methods, which has been created specifically for pharmacy professionals and includes mentoring by pharmacy academics to create a research project plan, which is then used by the pharmacy profession to conduct the research later.
