Working Wales is a new approach to delivering employability and skills support, designed to meet what individuals need to gain employment rather than fitting them into narrow programme eligibility criteria.
Working Wales consolidates Welsh Government’s current suite of employability support (Jobs Growth Wales, ReAct, Traineeships and the Employability Skills Programme).
Working Wales will support delivery of the Welsh Government’s Programme for Government, Taking Wales Forward commitment to reshape employability support for all individuals and forms an important part of the government’s forthcoming Employability Delivery Plan.

Individuals will require more intensive, individualised and specialist support to allow them to progress and to become work-ready.
The primary measure of success for WWYE is to secure positive outcomes for individuals by addressing the barriers that are preventing them from progressing into sustainable further education, employment; including an Apprenticeship or training.

Justification for any framework agreement duration exceeding 4 years: Framework initially be for 4 years. Allocations will be made annually for up to five years. An option to extend the agreement for two years will be available and will be subject to annual performance reviews. The next procurement for Working wales or a successor programme may be delayed until a comprehensive evaluation of the extended Working Wales delivery.
