Abstract

Newport City Council is inviting suppliers to attend a Supplier Engagement session for information on the delivery of Welsh Government funded Families First services. Families First is designed to improve outcomes for children, young people and families. It places an emphasis on early intervention, prevention, and providing support for whole families, rather than individuals. The programme promotes greater multi-agency working to ensure families receive joined-up support when they need it. The intention of the programme is to provide early support for families with the aim of preventing problems escalating. Specifically, the programme aims to: - Design and develop innovative services which can support families to achieve positive and sustainable outcomes. - Encourage a culture of learning around continued improvement to service delivery, sharing best practice and lessons learned. - Promote effectiveness and efficiency in service delivery through an “invest to save” approach, which has a sharp focus on early intervention and prevention. - Work collaboratively and cooperatively with other agencies and programmes to ensure service delivery is aligned with no gaps or duplication in services Service provision will be split into the following lots (providers can bid for more than one lot): - Lot 1 – Key Stage 2 (age 7-11) - Lot 2 – Key Stage 3 (age 11-14) - Lot 3 – Key Stage 4 (age 14-16) & Young People (age 16-24) - Lot 4 – Disability theme For further information about this requirement, please see an overview of the service attached to this notice.

The individual supplier sessions will be taking place on Wednesday 6 April 20221 from 10.00 am to 3.00 pm via MS Teams with the individual session be a maximum of 30 minutes.

Suppliers who wish to attend, should email procure@newport.gov.uk providing the names of those who are to attend, their position and their email address so that an MS Teams appointment can be forwarded.
