Abstract

The current transient absorption spectrometer (TAS) in the Centre for Integrative Semiconductor Materials (CISM) has a maximum delay time of 7 ns. We wish to upgrade this to have a time range of at least 500 μs with <1 ns resolution without sacrificing the spectral width of detection (350 nm – 1600 nm). The current TAS is a Harpia TAS systems with an Orpheus optical parametric amplifier supplying the pump beam, and a Pharos 1030 nm pumped white light generated probe beam; all supplied by Light Conversion. The solution must be compatible with Light Conversion hardware and control and analysis software. This must be delivered to and installed in the CISM building Advanced Optoelectronics Laboratory on Bay Campus. External funding has been granted from the Higher Education Research Council (HERC) Capital - ECR fund, so it is essential that the equipment is delivered by 31st March 2025.
