Amgueddfa Cymru / Museum Wales is seeking to refresh its hand-held communications (two-way radio) equipment. The existing requirement is for the National Museum of Wales in Cardiff, with the potential to expand the requirement to re-equip the National History Museum at St. Fagans.

Hardware and licensing requirements for Cardiff have been estimated to include the following:

2 X antenae and fixings

2 x Back-up batteries for above

10 x charger units

1 x COntrol room fixed unit

58 x ear pieces

58 x hand sets

2 x digital repeater c/w duplexer

2 x network routers

Appropriate software licensing

THE PRODUCTS LISTED ABOVE ARE INDICATIVE AND FOR ILLUSTRATION / EQUIVALENCE ONLY. ANY INVITATION TO TENDER LINKED TO THIS SPECULATIVE NOTICE WILL BE PRODUCT AGNOSTIC

In the event that St. Fagans is also refreshed, the hardware and licensing requirements will be approximately double the above. There will be a requirement that equipment supplied will have the range for communication to take place between the sites.
