Abstract

The procurement exercise to be undertaken is to appoint a partner contractor from the start to deliver developments for Tai Calon wish to develop the sites for housing with the following objectives: • Deliver sustainable and affordable homes • Maximise density whilst ensuring high quality shared spaces. • Maximise good quality and enhance existing amenity space for use by the community • Reduce our carbon emissions, and fuel poverty and improve the energy efficiency of our homes • Homes should meet Development Quality Requirements (DQR) to ensure eligibility for grant. • Acceptable cost guidance should be considered to maximise grant eligibility. • Design is to consider whole life costs and reduce the need for high cost component replacement over the next 60 years.
