Description of the goods or services required
Swansea University’s School of Psychology within the Faculty of Medicine, Health & Life Science, based at the University’s Singleton Park campus is looking to purchase Transcranial Electrical Stimulation equipment which is capable of transcranial electrical stimulation (including transcranial direct current stimulation, transcranial random noise stimulation and transcranial alternating current stimulation) and electroencephalogram (with a minimum of 32 channels and with 24-bit EEG recordings) monitoring capabilities.
The transcranial electrical stimulation equipment will need to monitor the activity of multiple neural networks simultaneously together with the ability to causally modulate the activity of these networks and be optimized for comfort and simplicity in setup to facilitate data collection even from sensitive and heterogenous populations

Minimum standards and qualification required
External funding of GBP 43,000 (VAT exempt due to the medical research nature of the equipment) has been granted from the Higher Education Research Council (HERC) Capital - ECR fund, so it is essential that the transcranial electrical stimulation equipment is delivered by 31st March 2025.
