Abstract

The role of Public Health Wales is to: • Inform partners on the factors which influence health and the evidence base for action, along with current and emerging threats to health in Wales • Advocate for policy and action to improve and protect health and reduce inequalities • Mobilise partners across systems to translate evidence into policy and practice at scale To achieve this, PHW are working to strengthen our organisational public health policy advocacy function in the short, medium and longer term. To achieve this, we have identified two early pieces of work which are the two Lots in this ITT: • Lot 1: Research to inform and accelerate the development of our organisational public health policy advocacy function • Lot 2: Research to improve understanding of and engagement with our public health policy advocacy stakeholders through undertaking stakeholder segmentation to help shape and tailor our outputs and actions in the short/medium term
