The original procurement was to retender the following: The Harbour Authority has a duty under the Cardiff Bay Barrage Act to maintain the Outer Harbour and Approach Channel as a navigational route to the Inland Bay and also has to comply with the requirements of the dredging licence. Dredging is therefore required twice yearly at times agreed with Natural Recourses Wales.
