Abstract

The Information Services & Systems department of Swansea University is preparing for significant investment in systems over the next 3 to 5 years that will establish a modern digital experience matched to the current and future needs of education, research, innovation, and partnership at Swansea University As part of their transformation, the ISS department will undergo significant change of internal processes, systems, and controls to ensure investment in technology delivers both effectively (do the right things) and efficiently (achieve good value for money). Swansea ISS department are inviting tenders from interested external partners to work with them over a 4-month period to: 1. Initiate early wins by introducing a working model for Continuous Improvement in the current context of the department 2. Commence service stabilisation by developing a design for the near term introduction of a consolidated IT Service Desk suited to current and reasonably foreseeable needs 3. Co-design and create a coherent transformation plan that includes an end state operating model and practical change management plan (for planning purposes scope is ITIL v4 or equivalent)
