Description of the goods or services required
Swansea Council is seeking to manage the proliferation of ‘To Let’ signs in areas of the Uplands Ward which currently detract from the visual amenity of the area. To tackle this problem, the Council will be looking to appoint a partner to gather evidence to support an application to the Welsh Government for a direction under Regulation 7 of the Town and Country Planning (Control of Advertisements) Regulations 1992 to restrict the display of such signs in the area.
In order to inform the Council’s application to Welsh Government, we anticipate the following to be undertaken, post appointment:
• Survey of the area to gather evidence of the number of ‘To Let’ signs being displayed. Such evidence will need to include photographic evidence
• Engagement with stakeholders to gather views on the proposal
• Preparation of report of findings from the evidence gathering exercise.
The Council may contact interested parties following closure of the expression of interest period about how to proceed with these opportunities.
To this end, interested parties are invited to initially submit an expression of interest to the Council:
Ian.Davies@swansea.gov.uk no later than Friday 8th April 2022 with the following information:
1) Name of your organisation and brief description of its background and experience.
2) Would you be interested in the opportunity described above? If yes, please explain full detail of what you are able to provide.
3) Please provide the contact details of a named person within the organisation should the Council wish to contact you to have a further discussion.
3) Any other comments or suggestions
