Live Room:
• Building a floating floor for acoustic separation.
• Building extra inner walls for acoustic separation between live room and control room.
• The installation of acoustic doors with magnetic seals.
• Installing an engineered wooden floor
• Installing acoustic diffusion in parts of the ceiling.
• Isolation boxes/booths installed e.g., to isolate guitar amplifiers.
• Installation of a variable acoustic solution for the studio to be able to shape the acoustic response
• Replace existing stage boxes and audio lines with Dante systems into CB304 and CB302
• Run return lines and Studio playback and listen back system
• Return speaker lines for amplifier head and cabinet separation between live/control room.
• Installation of red Record Lights outside corridor.
Control room:
• The installation of a ‘live end, dead end’ layout, whereby the rear end of the room is reflective, usually with engineered wood, and the other acoustically deadened with trapping.
• The mounting of existing large studio monitor speakers in the front wall.
• Soft wall treatments being fitted throughout.
• A shaped ceiling being installed.
• Recommissioning of existing SSL Duality console and outboard equipment into control space, with appropriate patch bay and studio wiring undertaken
• Producer rack setup in middle of control room
• Installation of appropriate studio furniture
• Purchase and installation of Thunderbolt 3 chassis and HDX cards to complement existing Mac Mini and HD I/O interfaces
Both spaces would require:
• The replacement of the air conditioning system with solutions that reliable and appropriate to a studio environment.
• The installation of appropriate lighting.
• The installation/repositioning of sufficient power sockets to service the rooms flexibly
• The installation of an external access door in the corridor to make the studio self-contained.
