This is a Voluntary Ex-Ante Transparency Notice and as such provides notification of the intention of the Authority to enter into a contract for the Adult mental Health Services to be provided to the population of West Essex (and Essex wide) by the incumbent provider, Essex Partnership University NHS Foundation Trust (EPUT).<br/><br/>The new contract is intended to begin on 1st April 2024 and end on 31st March 2025 with the option to extend for a further 12 months. The value of the new contract is £30,405,883 (excl. VAT) with a maximum cumulative value of £60,811,766 (excl. VAT). Please note that these are expected values and may be amended post contract finalisation with the provider.<br/><br/>The service has been in place since 1st April 2021 and has a total cumulative value of approximately £72,000,000 (excluding the value of this new contract).

Explanation
NHS Hertfordshire and West Essex Integrated Care Board (HWE ICB) was incorporated on 1st July 2022 and includes the three previous clinical commissioning groups. Since the HWE ICB was incorporated, we have been working to review services across each 'place' to ensure that there is equity of access for our patients across the broader ICB area.<br/><br/>The provider is an incumbent provider in HWE ICB in West Essex place since 2021 and delivers a good quality, timely service to West Essex patients and is integrally linked with all existing trusts in the West Essex and wider Essex area.
