The University of Birmingham currently utilises an Identity and Access management solution which manages activities within a range of requirements including system account management, system access management, password security management and privileged access management.
The solution (OneIdentity) currently integrates with multiple business critical systems across the University, which has resulted in substantial investment in terms of integrations into the rest of the technical estate, working processes and staff training. The University of Birmingham intends to re-contract with the current supplier for a five year period. This will ensure that there is sufficient time for the University to undertake a full market testing and subsequent tender exercise to establish and understand the requirements of the University, which will then lead into a supported mobilisation plan.
