Abstract

Market Engagement - 0-19 years (up to 25 years with SEND) Public Health Nursing Service

Lancashire County Council (LCC) is in the process of undertaking an exercise to commission 0-19 services. As part of an options appraisal, we wish to engage with key stakeholders in relation to a potential competitive procurement of the services.

For the avoidance of doubt the proposals set out within the market engagement document are the potential options, however they may change before the Invitation to Tender is published in the event that the service is procured via a competitive process.

The deadline for responses is Tuesday 20th August 2024

Following the market engagement, LCC may advertise the procurement of 0-19 services within the next 12 months.

The Market Engagement Questionnaire has been published on the Lancashire County Council website, at the Tender Opportunities page 'Market Engagement - 0-19 years (up to 25 years with SEND) Public Health Nursing Service'

II.2.4) Description of the procurement

The 0 to 19 (up to 25 years with SEND) Public Health Nursing Service in Lancashire is essentially the universal Health Visiting and School Nursing offer. Health visitors support families from the antenatal period up to school entry. The service is delivered in a range of settings including families' own homes, local community or primary care settings. School nurses offer year-round support for children and young people both in and out of school settings. The service delivers the national Healthy Child Programme requirement - core statutory / mandated functions.
