Additional Information

For the avoidance of confusion, this tender is similar to two other recent tenders for the same works. The two previous tenders resulted in no awarding of a contract.

Under the terms of this contract the successful supplier(s) will be required to deliver Community Benefits in support of the authority’s economic and social objectives. Accordingly, contract performance conditions may relate in particular to social and environmental considerations. The Community Benefits included in this contract are:

It is expected that the successful bidder will enter into discussions with the client with regard to providing work placement opportunities linked to the proposed works. The client will provide practical assistance to the winning bidder in introducing these placements at minimum disruption to the contractor.

The buyer considers that this contract is suitable for consortia bidding.
