Response to question regarding GRP FD30 and pad handles

Question: Please confirm that the utility doors are to be GRP FD30 doorsets as per the specification? If so, would a pad handle be an acceptable alternative to the D handle specified? All products used are in accordance with our fire test evidence and therefore can only offer lever/lever or lever/pad.
RESPONSE: Yes, the doors are to be GRP FD30 and pad handles will be acceptable.

Good morning
Please see the below from the Project Lead:
None of these doors should be fire rated.
Secondly, I have spoken to the Asset Technical Manager who has removed the requirement for an insurance backed guarantee on these products. Please advise tenderers of this and if they have the ability to provide this, please ask them to disclose this as a separate figure for the extra over cost in their pricing schedule – they can add this onto the bottom of the ‘extras’ tab.
