Abstract
Minesto is developing a 100kW marine energy converter in form of a subsea kite tethered to the sea floor. Minesto’s Deep Green technology generates electricity from low-flow tidal streams and ocean currents by a unique and patented principle similar to a stunt kite flying in the wind.
In order to precede the development of this power plant, Minesto requires a Bottom Joint System to mechanically connect the tether to the Foundation. This ITT set out the requirements for the Bottom Joint System, were Minesto are looking for a contractor that has knowledge, skills and ability to provide Minesto with a concept, detailed design and fabrication of the Bottom Joint System.

Buying Entity - Minesto AB + Longer response time to submitted questions during Christmas/w. 52.
We want to clarify that the buying entity for the Bottom Joint System will be Minesto AB. Thus, please direct your tenders to Minesto AB.
We also would like to inform that our office is closed between 24th of Dec 2018 – 1 of Jan 2019. During that time, we are not available to answer any questions to the ITT submitted on the portal. We are back again the 2nd of Jan 2019 and will then answer any posted question during that period.
