In addition to ‘SMART’ street furniture, the project will consist of new paving, lighting and an improved green infrastructure. The purpose of this market engagement exercise is to gather information on the types of ‘SMART’ and innovative street furniture available to WCBC, along with their capabilities, lead times and any potential challenges/opportunities that may exist. Currently the Council is looking to purchase products similar to the below: ‘SMART’ Bins: - Circa 240 litre wheeled waste container with the ability to compact at least 60% of depth of inner container to increase capacity - Solar panel – min 5oW - Battery - min 50 AH - Suitable coatings to prevent corrosion and graffiti - Ability to open any bin door by hand or foot when depositing waste - Ability to notify the Council of capacity levels - Any potential ICT or software requirements/implications Lighting with built in Public Wi-Fi: - LED lanterns to be installed onto existing street light columns, matching existing luminaires. - The lanterns will provide free public Wi-Fi within the area. Ideally this will be run by the supplier for a period of 3 to 5 years - Each broadband luminaire needs to have associated access points mounted on lighting column and powered by POE from the broadband luminaire Minimum requirements: - Wireless backhaul - Fibre point needs to be available to enable ISP connection - High level network design required – 1Gbps connectivity, latency <1ms. - 1 data /fiber POP - Utilise existing Cisco Meraki MR86 Aps & MR78 to enable broadband luminaire Seating / Benches: - A solar Powered bench with the ability to charge multiple mobile phone devices. - Built in light - Potential to integrate CCTV into the Bench. Digital screen: - The purchase of a digital screen ideally 65-75 inch dual sided unit, which is fully water proof and vandal proof casing. - The platform would ideally support Ethernet connection and 4/5G with software that could be integrated with other solutions i.e. APP. If any Supplier is interested and capable of providing ‘SMART’ street furniture solutions similar to the above, please email an overview of your offering to procurement@wrexham.gov.uk. Please include SMART Street Furniture in the subject heading of your e-mail response along with details of the styles, colours and indicative costs of your offering/products. Suppliers should note that the above is not a definitive list and may change following market engagement, so the Council would welcome any innovative suggestions or ‘SMART’ offerings a Supplier can provide that falls within the above product categories. Following receipt of Supplier offerings, further discussions may be held via Microsoft Teams on 12th January 2024. Please note that the Council is not expecting a single Supplier to provide all of the items listed and welcomes responses from Suppliers who can provide any or all of the items listed within this notice.
