II.1.4) Short description
UKRI wishes to establish a framework agreement (Agreement) for the provision of a Gateway Agency in Punta Arenas.
The purpose of this procurement is to appoint a supplier to support the British Antarctic Survey (BAS) in delivering a broad range of services. The framework will be set up to appoint a single Supplier who will act as the main provider.
BAS operates out of Punta Arenas as its primary gateway for servicing Rothera Research Station in Antarctica, as a port and as a base for aircraft operations. A gateway agent is an essential part of this operation, carrying out the duties described in detail below, facilitating BAS operations through Punta Arenas.
This Agreement is for a duration of 2+1+1 years.
The full scope of the services that will be undertaken during the Agreement period is not known, and therefore no guarantee can be given as to the actual amount or type of work that may be ordered during the Agreement period.
