Description of the goods or services required
We recently commissioned a first evaluation of WCVA’s safeguarding service, alongside a feasibility study for how we could evolve the service to meet continually growing demand. The reports found that that developing a suite of digital resources to support delivery would be one of the most effective ways to meet demand within current staff capacity.
We would like the appointed content producers to work with WCVA’s Safeguarding Team, Communications Team, CVC safeguarding officers and other organisations, as applicable, to take an approach that puts users at the centre of the content development. We’re particularly welcoming of service design and/or co-production methodologies being applied.

Total quantity or scope of tender
Initial discussions with the Safeguarding Team have come up with the below possible outputs which would benefit service delivery:
• Short animations/videos explaining different concepts within the field of safeguarding. Potential topics could include safeguarding for trustees (with different pieces for different sized charities), safeguarding with volunteers, developing a safeguarding report, reporting to the Charity Commission etc
• Sub-sector specific content for where there might be different considerations, such as sports and arts
• Content for Group C training; participants are required to complete 8 hours of study, which must be of a sufficiently high level and standard to support Designated Safeguarding Persons. A range of further supporting materials across different topics, would be accessible at the participants’ leisure rather than delivered by a member of the team ‘live’.
• Supporting guides to make safeguarding training, processes and reporting more accessible
