Short description of the contract or purchase(s)

The provision of a comprehensive and efficient External Audit Service, which will assist the Birmingham and Solihull Mental Health NHS Foundation Trust (‘The Trust') in meeting its roles and responsibilities. Whilst maintaining the necessary level of professional independence, the External Auditors will be expected to satisfy their statutory responsibilities under the Audit Code for NHS Foundation Trusts (‘the Code') prescribed by the Independent Regulator of Foundation Trusts (‘Monitor'). The Trust wishes to agree a strategic external audit plan covering the next three financial years from 2014/15 to 2016/17 with a possible extension for 2017/18 and 2018/19'.
