Re-tendering for the provision of pathology laboratory services. The summary requirement is as follows:
The ability to provide haematology, clinical chemistry, immunology, microbiology, and toxicology services.
An urgent turnaround of identified samples within 4 hours on a 24/7 basis.
The requirement to work in partnership with the Authority and Public Health England for control of infection and surveillance.
The ability to upload results of Full Blood Count (FBC) to the national data base for clozapine (ZTAS).
The ability to identify how transportation of samples will work with a local Hub model of collection points and in-house transportation arrangements.
Accreditation to CPA (Clinical Pathology Accreditation) or equivalent.
