Nottinghamshire County Council is seeking to establish a provider list, using a Dynamic Purchasing System of organisations able to provide Short Breaks and Childcare Services for Disabled Children and Young People and their Parents/Carers.
Providers will be able to submit their application at any point in time whilst the list is in operation and these applications will be evaluated periodically.
The provider list will target providers that are able to provide the following:
— Individual Support,
— Holiday, Play and Community Based Activities,
— Children and young people with complex health needs,
— Children and young people with Autistic Spectrum Conditions,
— Children and young people aged 11+ with moving and handling needs that will require equipment and adaptations,
— Young people 14+,
— Children and young people where challenging behaviour is associated with other impairments (e.g. severe learning disability).
The Provider List will operate for a period of 10 years.

The Council intends to use the provider list to:
— direct allocation of packages based on the best match of provision.
— Where Service User’s needs, exceed the standard, then providers may be asked to bid based on the specific requirements,.
— The Council may consider proposals for future “Block bookings”, where we buy a number of spaces, to enable the activity to proceed with confidence.
