Abstract

Tender for a Business Continuity Solution for the Higher Education Funding Council for Wales Tender reference: T09HE/2017/18 The Higher Education Funding Council for Wales (HEFCW) wishes to let a contract for access to a web-based solution for the secure, offsite electronic storage of its business continuity plans and supporting data. The business continuity solution must be: accessible to all of our employees via the internet; user friendly; allow critical documents and contact details to be securely stored; allow us to communicate with our employees; and be available 24/7 365 days a year. The provider will be required to provide training for three employees and will assist these employees with the initial setup. There must also be ongoing support available through the lifetime of the contract which is most likely provided through an on-line or phone helpdesk system. We anticipate that the contract for this work will be awarded during February 2018. The initial contract will be for a period of three years, with the option to extend for a further three years (i.e. up to a maximum of six years in total). Award of this contract will be subject to a satisfactory financial evaluation.
