The nature of this service is to provide optometric services to prisoners of HMP Usk and Prescoed which is equivalent to that provided to
members of the general public as far as possible.
The ophthalmic service will provide a community equivalent ophthalmic service that meets the needs of patients, with equity of access
within the prison.
The ophthalmic service will work with all health and wellbeing service providers to deliver an integrated service where clinicians work
together as a team to deliver patient centred care.
