This Voluntary Ex-Ante Transparency (VEAT) relates to the annual Independent Higher Education licence renewal for the Copyright Licensing Agency (CLA). CLA is recognised by the government as the collective licensing body for the reuse of text and images from books, journals, and magazines.
CLA acts on behalf of a substantial number of owners and/or mandating publishers of Licensed Material and is willing to grant a licence in respect of the reproduction and use of Licensed Material and to grant an indemnity for such reproduction and use.
