Abstract

HDUHB (Hywel Dda University Health Board) is calling for applications from experienced and suitably qualified artist/s to work in collaboration with the Estates Department and members of the Women’s and Children’s Directorate to create artwork at Glangwili General Hospital. The principal aim is to enhance the environment and therapeutic experience for staff and users. The artwork should help to create an overarching identity to flow through whole facility whilst creating distinctiveness to each area, it must work within a healthcare space, in public or private areas and should be uplifting. The artwork and colour schemes should create visual landmarks to aid navigation, with colours, lines/designs contributing to a calm and interesting environment creating a relaxing and rejuvenating ambience throughout areas identified, encouraging recovery and positivity.
