The Pembrokeshire Creamery Ltd. plant is a purpose-built 3000m2 dairy processing site, to be commissioned 1st quarter 2023, and fully operational by first quarter of 2023 on a green field site at Haverfordwest, Pembrokeshire.

It aims to process approx. 1,000,000 litres of liquid milk per week with options to increase milk bottling capacity and processing of cream products in the future.

The building electrical works is part of a major project to construct a new building for milk processing plant at the Haverfordwest site. The electrical installation element of the building will be delivered in conjunction with other minor civil works on site but split into distinct phases with work being carried out by other suppliers engaged by the Purchaser and at the same time that the electrical services are being installed.

Total quantity or scope of tender

This project consists of an electrical fit out that includes power supplies to specialist control panels, specialist electrical installations by others. The building has been designed to accommodate an extension for future expansion. The incoming electrical service transformer has been sized to include for the future expansion.

A section of HV infrastructure is to be provided including a two-megawatt transformer and HV cable installed to the WPD ring main units adjacent to the entrance barrier.

LV Switchboard installation suitable to facilitate multi core connections from the HV/LV transformer. To include L2 Kwh Metering as detailed with Modbus provision.

Sub main distribution to all control panel positions, distribution boards and any direct connected equipment.

General lighting throughout.

Emergency lighting.

Small power throughout, including electric doors and any small directly connected specialist systems.

Fire alarms.

External Lighting to be provided with attention to the requirements associated with Bat friendly lighting.

Earthing System Lightning Protection.

Car Chargers.

Electrical Inspection and testing Provision of operation and maintenance manual.

3 Conditions for Participation

3.1

Minimum standards and qualification required

The works will be carried out as part of a Notified CDM project.

A proposed supplier shall be deemed to have satisfied itself before submitting its tender as to the accuracy and sufficiency of the prices and rates stated in the pricing schedule contained in that tender which shall (except in so far as it is otherwise provided in the contract) cover all obligations under the contract and a proposed supplier shall also be deemed to have obtained for itself all necessary information as to risks, contingencies and any other circumstances which might reasonably influence or affect its tender.

The proposed supplier is responsible for obtaining all information necessary for the preparation of its tender and all costs, expenses and liabilities incurred by a proposed Supplier in connection with the preparation and submission of a tender shall be borne by the proposed supplier.
