Abstract

West Wales Rivers Trust (WWRT) are working with the University of Wales Trinity St Davids (UWTSD) Lampeter Campus to deliver a range of environmental improvements on the campus, which borders the River Dulas, a tributary of the River Teifi. As part of these improvements, WWRT are seeking the assistance of a specialist Sustainable Urban Drainage (SuDS) consultancy to carry out a feasibility study to identify recommended locations and actions for retrofitting SuDS across the Lampeter University campus. The project will be managed by WWRT with input from the UWTSD Sustainability Officer and Estates team. As part of the delivery of works, the chosen consultancy will be expected to discuss all opportunities, limitations and processes for determining feasibility of schemes throughout the project openly to enable WWRT staff to learn from the process, with the aim of being able to identify similar schemes into the future. Following feasibility investigations, the successful tenderer will provide Technical designs to RIBA Stage 4 for a minimum of three interventions. These detailed designs will enable WWRT to retrofit small scale sustainable drainage/surface water management schemes across the Lampeter University Campus with greater confidence. Subsequently helping to manage rainwater, offer resilience for the sewerage networks and improve water quality in the area.
