II.2.4) Description of the procurement
This is a prior information notice only and it to advise of our upcoming procurement for the Provision of Employee Counselling Services.
In order to provide counselling to its staff Barnsley Metropolitan Borough Council intends to appoint a specialist counselling provider (the Supplier) to provide a range of counselling interventions.
The purpose of the service provision is to:
Undertake initial assessment of employees, following referral or self-referral, to determine the most appropriate course of action.
Provide any necessary counselling interventions.
Provide advice to the council with respect to the wellbeing of council employees.
The supplier will provide face-to-face and virtual counselling session (whichever the employee prefers) to employees of the council (or other organisations to whom the Council provides occupational health services such as some schools/academies)
