Abstract

Pembrokeshire County Council seeks a supplier to develop SMART Town Plans for the following towns: Fishguard and Goodwick Haverfordwest Milford Haven Pembroke Pembroke Dock Tenby There are two work packages within this commission: Work package 1 (WP1): Town profiling This work package will identify and collate demographic and socio-ecomonic and environmental data for each of the following localities: Fishguard and Goodwick, Haverfordwest, Milford Haven, Pembroke, Pembroke Dock and Tenby to provide a clear picture of the town’s cultural character, economic geography, locality specialisms and opportunities. The consultant will produce a baseline town profile that provides population-related, socio-economic and environmental trends, forecasts and indicators that can provide insights and support evidence-based decision making and strategy that can underpin the tracking of the impact of regeneration interventions in the mid- to longer-term. Work package 2 (WP2): Digital SMART Town Audit and Development Plan This work package will develop a SMART Town Plan (2024-28), in collaboration with PCC colleagues cross-departmentally (ICT, regeneration, infrastructure and planning) to examine and realise the potential of the Digital Towns infrastructure installed to date and will identify additional digital technology to support growth and resilience in the six Tier 1 Pembrokeshire towns. The project will explore the feasibility and costs of applied technology for town development, with the appointed consultants making recommendations
