Description of the goods or services required

TfW has appointed Amey Infrastructure Wales (AIW) as the Managing Agent, to work with TfW to transform the Wales and Borders Rail Service. AIW will support TfW in developing and implementing plans for, the South Wales Metro.

Amey Infrastructure Wales (AIW) is carrying out a procurement exercise to procure Overhead Line Equipment (OLE) under a bespoke framework agreement and bespoke call off contract.

Total quantity or scope of tender

This Framework seeks to appoint a supplier to provide OLE Switching materials which make up the railway OLE system for the Core Valley Lines. The materials are required to facilitate the electrification of the CVL. The CVL electrification is required to provide a more efficient and faster rail infrastructure and to support the wider CVL upgrades & enhancements and a new rolling fleet.
