II.2.4) Description of the procurement
NHS West Yorkshire Integrated Care Board (Calderdale Cares Partnership) is looking to commission the provision of NHS Talking Therapies, for anxiety and depression for adults.
NHS Talking Therapies, for anxiety and depression, is a provision that provides access to self-care and early intervention for people with mild to moderate mental health needs.
The national expectations of NHS Talking Therapies are mandated, and specified in the NHS Talking Therapies, for anxiety and depression, Manual and further developed in a set of ‘Positive Practice Guides’.
The service will deliver the following within the defined financial envelope:
• Deliver the requirements of the NHS Long Term Plan
• Support access, outcomes and experience for groups particularly impacted by the pandemic including but not exclusively ethnic minority communities, older adults
• Expand access to NHS talking therapies for anxiety and depression to deliver target access trajectories, targeting capacity to meet the population need of Calderdale
• Delivers high quality NHS talking therapies for anxiety and depression intervention, including the improvement or maintenance of waiting times and outcome metrics
• Focusses on population level health outcomes, tackling inequalities and ensuring services are culturally sensitive and appropriate
• Provide a range of place-based delivery models, designed through collaboration with stakeholders, including patients, to meet the needs of specific population cohorts
• Provide support to patients with long term conditions in response to the specific demands of local populations driving integration across physical and mental health pathways, as well as other groups identified within the NHS talking therapies for anxiety and depression manual and Positive Practice guides
• From April 2024 it has been nationally mandated that Employment Advisors are included as part of NHS Talking Therapies local offer.
• NHS talking therapies for anxiety and depression for Calderdale will operate within the context of the wider transformation of community mental health services.
