Abstract

The University of Birmingham invites tenders for supply and Installation of a Photoacoustic tomography scanner for non-invasive imaging of mice, ex vivo tissues and biological samples. The system will provide a flexible imaging platform for rapid multi-wavelength, three-dimensional imaging of tissue anatomy and function at cm-scale depths with sub-150 micrometer resolution, based on the optical absorption properties of tissues. The system will perform image acquisition, image reconstruction and data storage, as well as provide on-line and off-line data processing and analysis tools. It should also allow for future hardware and software upgrades, as our research needs evolve.
