Abstract

Market Engagement Event Wednesday 12th June 12:30 – 14:00pm

Wiltshire Council are looking to put out an opportunity to join us under a 5 plus 5-year block contract providing up to 69 beds within Supported Accommodation for Care Experienced and Unaccompanied Asylum-Seeking young people, aged 16+, within Wiltshire. This will be a long-term holistic model of 24/7 staffed, floating staff and independent living accommodation.

Working alongside the Staying Close Project, this will create more capacity locally within the Supported Accommodation Market. Wiltshire Council are committed to purchasing properties suitable to support these young people, to give young people additional security and providers the confidence and security that we are committed to this project long term.

Understanding the need for suitable matching and accommodating a wide range of young people with varied needs, the successful provider will already have a flexible portfolio of Supported Accommodation homes registered with OFSTED.

Sitting alongside this project will be the purchasing of 24 solo flats, county wide. This will be for young people to transition into when ready and will come with a lifetime tenancy. We feel this pioneering model breaks down barriers young people face in moving into independence and will give our young people an opportunity to remain in their community.

By working collaboratively, Wiltshire are committed to supporting you fully during the lifetime of this contract to ensure that the changing needs of our children are always met, and our positive relationship provides proactive ways of supporting our children to engage, develop and thrive in the community.

Wiltshire Council will be holding a provider consultation event for this opportunity on Wednesday 12th June 2024 12:30 – 14.00 via Microsoft teams. This session will involve a short presentation regarding the project, indicative tender timelines and there will also be opportunity for providers to ask questions.
