Description of the goods or services required
Flintshire County Council will be seeking to procure the services of a provider or providers for the purpose of delivering Carers Needs Assessments and subsequent support services for unpaid carers in Flintshire.
Flintshire County Council aims to provide support to unpaid carers living in Flintshire so that they can prioritise their own health and well-being needs, achieve what matters to them and maintain their caring role, should they choose, in a safe and supported way.
The services required will support adult carers of children with physical or mental disabilities, in a range of creative and innovative ways and in a manner that promotes independence, maximises outcomes and is delivered in accordance with relevant legislation, such as the Social Services and Well-being (Wales) Act 2014 and the Well-being of Future Generations (Wales) Act 2015.
This will likely include (but not limited to) the provision of creative respite solutions, activities, a range of well-being support options, and information, advice and assistance for carers of individuals with a neurological condition.
It is anticipated that the contract start date would be 1st April 2024 for a period of 5 years.
Approximate annual contract value: £12,000
